Progress is only possible because of minorities. Majorities cement the existing.
(Bertrand Russell)
The three elements (youth centre / sports hall / primary school with day nursery) are grouped so as to appropriately reflect the (suburban) disposition.
An ensemble is created towards 'planned road A' to the north, forming a square, and dovetailing with the open area in the south.
This is a conservative approach to creating an urban fixed point in the large residential area, which is characterised by individual, detached houses.
The locations of the individual special-use units included in the construction proposal have been chosen to serve the approach of the sports hall not blocking the transition to the open spaces, but defining the street space to the north. By lowering the playing field below ground level, it has been possible to improve its integration into the urban environment in terms of scale.
The primary school with kindergarten occupies a central position in the square, and has direct access to the extensive outdoor spaces in the south.
Meanwhile, the youth centre and primary school have become one structurally analogous unit, each able to stand on its own architectural merits.
