Administrative buildings

The objective was to produce a clear-cut spatial reference system between the historic district offices "Am Pferdemarkt" and the area around the bank of the River Weser, without having to compromise on clarity and orientation.  This is why the central development in the form of a glass-ceilinged hall was reached by crossing the inner courtyard diagonally; on the one hand, it forms a joint between a number of buildings, and on the other, it creates functional continuity between the old and the new, and encompasses the centrally-situated conference room.
