It was proposed to upgrade Godehardstrasse - as an important transport artery - by building alongside the canal.
It was essential to compensate for the lack of architectural profile in the district by making the new structure stand out. The main focus of the striking building (the administrative centre) is therefore oriented towards the Leine Canal, whilst at the same time a visual connection is made with the green corridor.
The intention of creating a clear architectural profile is supported by the massive uniform design (brick wall), which is interrupted at the corner of the street (access).
